**Salary**: £9.80 p/h
Hours of work: Mon-Thu 08:00-17:00 and Fri 08:00-13:00, 37.5 per week paid
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machinist who will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of sewing machines used in the production of têxtiles. A sewing machinist plays a crucial role by operating sewing machines and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products.
Duties and responsibilities of a sewing machinist will include:

- Operating sewing machines including flatbed, overlocker, and coverstitch machines, to sew different types of fabrics and materials according to specific designs and patterns.- Reading and interpreting patterns.- Measuring and cutting fabrics.- Inspecting finished products.- Maintaining sewing machines.- Collaborating with other team members.- Following safety guidelines.- Previous experience within the industry.- Good attention to detail.- Good communication skills.- Strong work ethic.
