GPS are recruiting for a forward thinking Controls Software Engineer to design quality control systems in line with international and industry standards. You will actively provide support to Project Managers, Validation Team, EC&I Engineers & MechanicalDesign Engineers with respect to the design of products to international and industry standards (cGMP & GAMP). Specialised in meeting the technical capabilities of the business areas, PLC Programming, SCADA
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify, design and test solutions for PLC & SCADA control systems.
- Validate software designs through analysis and test.
- Execute the required duties in accordance with the pharmaceutical industries current Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP).
- Attend client meetings as required to expedite the running of the project and ascertain the required information to fulfil EC&I /Software designs.
- Occasional UK and Overseas travel may be required to attend team/customer meetings and training activities.
- Production of HMI & PLC software and Software Design Specifications where applicable.
- Attendance to internal contract meetings to report on the progress of the project and other relevant issues relating to projects.
- Contractually aware in order to identify project change with respect to commercial implications and instigate when necessary.
- Assist in the production of test protocols and support all Pre-FAT and FAT activities.
- Delivery of Project on time and within Budget.
Skills/Experience Required:
- HNC Electrical Qualification
- Industrial Machine Controls System Design.
- Selection & Specification of PLC & SCADA equipment. Design and integration of PLC & SCADA control systems.
- Software development Lifecycles, processes, and procedures.
- HMI, PLC and SCADA programming skills.
- Siemens TIA Portal (WinCC)
- Rockwell Studio 5000 and Factory Talk AVEVA Intouch (Wonderware).
- PC literate
