HR Advisor

We are working with an Affordable Housing Provider to assist them with their search for a HR Advisor to join the team on a full time permanent basis.

The purpose of this role will be to work in partnership with colleagues across the organisation to provide clear, comprehensive advice on people related matters.

This is a generalist role primarily focusing on coaching managers on employee relations matters, but also is involved in cross organisation projects, HR metrics and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities will include:

- Employee Relations including change management TUPE, redundancy and restructures.
- Advisory services including absence, capability, disciplinaries and grievances.
- Recruitment & Onboarding - supporting managers through the recruitment and selection process.
- Financial monitoring, management, and reporting
- Upskill managers and coach them to take ownership of people related issues. Work with them to improve our organisational culture, employee journey and employer brand.
- Advise on the implications of employment legislative changes and case law development and ensure that our policies and documentation comply.
- Liaise and consult with UNISON reps and employee consultative forums on policy formulation and developments as required.
- Promote equality and diversity across the organisation, and ensure working practices are inclusive.
- Review HR metrics, identify hot spots and implement new approaches to make improvements.
- Work with the learning and development team on the design of people related training courses.
- Ensure documents are promptly filed in central electronic files and the HR system is maintained, complying with data protection legislation. Participate in archive housekeeping on an annual basis.
- Maintain HR knowledge by regularly attending workshops, webinars, and seminars.

We are looking for someone with a Level 5 HR related qualification, or studying towards this, and generalist HR experience who is looking for a new challenge.
