**The Law Practice**
**Full service legal practice providing services to business clients and with a specialism in banking and finance**
**The Position**
- **To assist in the roles that make up the work load of the Property litigation department**
**The post includes**:
- Liaising with and taking instructions from the senior members of the team as may be required.
- Assisting solicitors within the team with their caseload of property litigation, dealing with all stages of disputes up to and including trial/hearings and bailiff appointments.
- Liaising with external solicitors, and counsel when required.
- Dealing with legal queries and enquiries referred by other members of the team.
- Preparing relevant documentation for trial/hearings including bundles for trial/hearings
- Frequent liaising with courts including chasing currently active files and for example, court wait times.
**IMPORTANT**
**Desired skills**
4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's
- Confident with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
- Good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
- Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
- Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
- The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- Good client care skills

**Training to be provided**
Course Content:
- Utilising IT programs and software

- Project management
- Understanding the organisation and stakeholders
- Relevant regulations and policies
- Business fundamentals
- Professionalism and performance management
**You will complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.**
- This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
- This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
