**IT Officer**
- The IT Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Head of IT, assisting with the execution of our IT strategy and supporting the IT function with focus on customer service, reliability, security and governance. _

The Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) is an independent company established as a collaboration between Government and Industry to set the UK's aerospace technology strategy and fund a wide variety of transformative research and technology projects, securing the UK's global leadership in aerospace technology.

The ATI's objective is to enable aviation to reduce its environmental impact through providing thought leadership on all aspects on the future of flight and through funding research projects that secure jobs, maintain skills, and deliver economic benefits across the UK.

The UK government announced continued support for the Institute to 2031, with R&D funding of £975m. This will be matched by industry, generating funding of circa £2bn for UK aerospace R&D, building on the £3.2bn invested to date.

Having been established 10 years, the ATI continues evolving with ambitious plans to deliver on its mission of transforming aerospace through technology and innovation. The UK aerospace sector is going through a major change cycle to meet its sustainability responsibilities, which entails substantial technology investment and development.
- **The Role - Key Areas of Responsibility **_
- Support the Head of IT, as directed, in providing an efficient, secure, resilient, and fit-for-purpose IT architecture.
- Support the onboarding of new starters and collaborators through the provisioning and setting up new starter hardware, including laptops and mobiles.
- Support the Head of IT in maintaining the IT asset register, taking sole responsibility for the mobile device register.
- Maintain AV equipment within both offices to support ATI's stakeholder engagement, ensuring that collaboration tools work effectively, making sure any upgrades are run in a timely manner and recommending improvements.
- Respond to IT incidents and requests for support, collaborating closely with our IT support services partner (who are responsible for installs and maintaining ATI's hardware, software and networks).
- Follow documented processes and procedures for the administration of IT services and architecture, recommending improvements as the business evolves.
- Ensure that service level agreements with IT services partners and licensors of software are adhered to.
- Support the Head of IT and stakeholders across the business in the rollout and deployment of IT projects.
- Have a strong knowledge of M365
- Have a strong practical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11)
- Have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Have a good understanding of workstation hardware
- Have good practice knowledge of mobile operating systems - iOS
- Have excellent customer service skills - you are likely to spend some of your workday helping our stakeholders
- Have an understanding of Corporate SharePoint sites and Airtable (training can be provided)
- Have great attention to detail - accurate documentation regarding our infrastructure is paramount to assist with maintaining an effective Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity process
- Be passionate about technology
- Be a team player but also be comfortable working independently, demonstrating a desire to learn new skills and deliver solutions promptly and consistently
