Due to expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Counter Drone Security Systems Operator to join our existing Operations team on a full-time basis.

The role involves being at the cutting edge of providing counter drone/security services to large scale international customers. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring the drone and perimeter detection system’s output from various national infrastructure sites. You will be part of a team operating 24/7 in our purpose-built Operations Room onsite in Padworth Reading.

On detection of any unauthorised drones or personnel operating unlawfully in restricted areas, you will be the first line response liaising directly with the risk managers and key stakeholders responsible for safe operations at key Sites. You will also liaise directly with police response teams and provide key information to enable them to intercept drone pilots and personnel acting unlawfully.

You may also on occasion get the opportunity to support onsite operations teams with Drone and Engineering / maintenance operations and may be put forward to become certified as a commercial UAV pilot.

**Key Skills**:

- Continual and vigilant monitoring of security systems using the software and hardware tools provided.
- Ability to analyse alerts, remain calm under pressure and make the appropriate decisions based on information generated by various security tools.
- Exceptional discretion regarding use of highly sensitive and confidential documentation.
- Configure, operate and troubleshoot various IT and security tools.
- Continually update stakeholders of status changes during issue resolution.
- Ability to provide cohesive, appropriate and timely responses to incidents, errors or faults as they occur.
- Excellent communication and administration skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels with clients and within the business (knowledge of the phonetic alphabet is beneficial)
- Comprehensive IT skills with proficiency in MS Teams and Office; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook with the aptitude to learn new, relatively complex systems. The ability at times to multitask on IT systems.
- Organised and self-motivated, able to work using own initiative or as part of small, dedicated team following strict operational processes and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the threat landscape, emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of the system and procedures (continuous improvement)

**Additional Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Flexibility to work shifts over a 24 hour / 7 day per week shift pattern.
- Legally able to be employed in the UK.
- Must be able to achieve UK SC Clearance.
- A full manual UK Driving Licence.
- Perform system administrative tasks defined within the Standard Operating Procedures.

**Desired**
- Previous experience of working within an Operations Room environment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with social media monitoring, OSINT analysis and/or mapping software desirable but not essential.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the threat landscape, emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of the system and its operation.
- Highly confident and approachable with the enthusiasm to maintain the highest personal and professional standards in a busy environment.
