**Finance Manager**

**Bletchley, Milton Keynes**

**Finance Manager of single site builders’ merchants.**

**About the role**:
We are currently recruiting for an individual to join and lead the accounts teams of a single site Builders Merchants as Finance Manager. As the FM, you will be reporting directly into the board and overseeing the finance team of 2 staff members.

**Job role**:

- Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely and comprehensive reporting of financial information including monthly financial accounts and associated analysis, year-end accounts and consolidation.
- Produce and present forecasts and budgets to the Board.
- Work with the director on a monthly cashflow forecast.
- Oversee the accounting functions in the business including invoicing entries, bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journals and bank payments.
- Resolve problems for and work with the 2x clerks on any issues they are facing
- Liaise and prepare year end information for external auditors.
- Work with the management of each business to improve KPI reporting and assist management in making better decisions.
- Payroll execution and management (monthly, 11 employees)

**Experience**
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Displaying the strength of a senior manager, someone who understands how to work in an SME
- Good knowledge of statutory obligations, tax, VAT and statutory accounts.

**Person spec**:

- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Close attention to detail.
- Able to manage responsibility from day 1.

**Role**:

- Permanent role
- Office based
- 2 days a week
