Support will be provided via clinical supervision, regular in-service training and the appraisal system.
The post-holder may be based at either site dependant on service need.

Exact hours and site of work will be confirmed on appointment.

To work with patients to achieve their identified rehabilitation goals, which have been set by the qualified Physiotherapist, through a wide range of specialist therapeutic activities.

Following delegation by the registered Physiotherapist, carry out agreed therapeutic treatment plans, working unsupervised after successful completion of relevant competencies.

To prepare the patients and environment prior to and following Physiotherapy treatment programmes e.g. group sessions

To analyse and evaluate patient performance, using agreed parameters of treatment programme set by qualified staff, and make suggestions for improvement.

To correct patient’s performance during treatment sessions if required and provide feedback to qualified member of staff.

To communicate with patients to gain consent to treatment and to ensure patients understanding, co-operation and compliance.

To communicate information from the assessment and treatment to patients, carers, other family members and members of the MSK team.

To be competent in treating patients in group/class setting, as well as on a one to one basis.

To record patient interventions and update patient records, including that recorded on EMIS.

To partake in surveys, audit and outcome measures as necessary for the role.

To check mobility aids and equipment for patient use and order supplies e.g. walking sticks.

To monitor stock control and order as appropriate.
