Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for Machine**Operatives** to join our Power Transmission & Distribution business based across **South and West Wales**.
**What you'll be doing**
As a **General Operative**, you will:
- Always follow the Balfour Beatty 4 Golden Rules
- To ensure the works are carried out in the most efficient, a safe manner and to required quality levels.
- Demonstrate positive attitude and behaviour towards safety and others
- Report all near misses, hazards, breakdowns, damages queries or observations to your supervisor and to the helpline if required.
- Follow company/manufacturers procedures to ensure standards are met
- Be pro-active and think ahead by working closely with team members and Supervisors
- Be prepared to work overtime/flexible on breaks as required
- Willingness to help others and collaboration as part of a team
**Who we're looking for**
The following qualities/experience are **essentials**:
- Clean Driving license
- Good communication skills (to all levels including Supervisors)
- Ability to work as part of a team
The following qualities/experience are **desirables**:
- Knowledge of working in & around underground services
- NRSWA - Streetworks qualification
- Knowledge of using and clear understanding of work package plans, method statements, procedures, risk assessments and site specific rules
- Multi-skilled (Excavations and mason/tarmac etc)
