About Us

Life Skills Hub offers specialist wellbeing support across a range of internal and external settings and within the community with a view to improving positive wellbeing for children, young people and adults aged between 0-25 years old. We have a flexible and relational approach and a team of multi-disciplined staff to support our students & their families. We offer 1-1 and small group sessions and work across a range of organisations such as; schools, nurseries, colleagues, social care and local authorities across Hull, East Riding and the wider area.

The Role
- Reporting to the site manager to agree flexible working patterns around the needs of the business, which can and will include weekend, evening working and split shifts. You may be required to attend shifts at short notice if there is an urgency to resolve and will need to adopt a flexible and can do attitude
- You will follow guidance from the site manager around the duties and jobs that need completing. They will be varied and need to be completed with attention to detail and maintaining the health and safety of all on site and visitors/the community
- You will undertake practical jobs like jetwashing, weeding, painting, repair or replacement work on broken furniture, doors, windows, set up rooms with chairs/tables, varnishing, woodwork, brickwork, helping us to adapt spaces, QA and health and safety checklists, meet and greet visitors for training events and clubs
- Open and close the site each day, following opening and closing procedures
- You will be a key member of the team to help us run clubs, activities, training and events term time and non term time
- Communicating with suppliers as required and help with deliveries

The Person
- Attentive and flexible
- Uses own initiative and can work independently as well as with a team
- Very practical and excellent knowledge of own health and safety and for others and the site
- Experience of groundskeeping, maintenance, diy, caretaker role
- Good communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently and accurately
- Good time management
- Good organisational skills
- Understanding of what is needed to maintain and upkeep a site
- Understanding of compliance and health and safety regulations on site

You will work flexibly in line with the needs of the business, normally based at our main setting at LSH Central in North Hull. At times you may be able to work from home and other settings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
