Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) is the new brand of Magnox Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

About the role

**_ P_**_l_**_ease note this role is based onsite at Oldbury. The _**_contractual working hours are Monday - Thursday, 07.25 - 17.00, perfect for someone seeking a four day working week._**

**Key Deliverables**
- Assist in maintenance of documentation/procedures in relevant aspects of environmental management.
- Monitor compliance with Site standards
- Liaise with planning consultants, environmental contractors & other specialists to ensure safe & compliant delivery.
- Support performance monitoring and provide advice as necessary to maintain environmental standards and improve performance.
- Support the implementation of identified good practice and promote and deploy across the Site.
- Provide advice, support and guidance on environmental issues throughout the Site.
- Contribute to the effective development of, and deliver, training within own area of specialism.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Educated to NQF level 3 / NVQ Level 3 (essential).
- Certificate in relevant aspect of environmental management (desirable).
- Good knowledge of Company Processes for own specialty (desirable).
- Practical experience preparing environmental reports and advising on Best Available Techniques to minimise environmental impact (desirable).

**Additional Information**

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
