**Grounds Apprentice**:
Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Edmonton

Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Apprentice to join our maintenance team at North Middlesex University Hospital in Edmonton. This is a two year Grounds apprenticeship working 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.

**Key Activities**:

- Reporting to the Operations Manager
- To undertake a programme of academic studies and college attendance along with skills training within the grounds department to achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Work Based Horticulture.
- To maintain the hospital grounds to a professional standard
- Tending of trees, shrubs, grasses areas and planted beds throughout the sites.
- Propagation of plants, shrubs and management of greenhouse stock.
- Road and rainwater gulley maintenance and litter picking
- Lawn care by means of hand tools and mechanically propelled gardening equipment
- Assist with stores / move stock and materials
- This is a two year Grounds apprenticeship working 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 16:00. Monday to Friday

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Previous experience of, or an interest in, grounds work / gardening is essential
- Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work using own initiative
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, and to represent the Company in a professional manner to the Client and public
- Ability to work within a team or autonomously
- Flexible, proactive, can-do approach
