Due to a recent promotion within the team, they have an exciting opportunity for an experience technical IT Business Analyst to join their DPS Development Team based at their Bristol office on a permanent basis. Whilst they are open to remote working theirwill be the requirement to travel to the Bristol office approximately four times per month and therefore you must be within a reasonable commute of this office. There may also be a rare requirement to travel to their Skipton or London office, so flexibilityis essential.

The DPS Development team is the group within their client Technology Services responsible for developing and delivering high quality technical solutions to support their Deposit Protection Service (DPS). The IT Business Analyst role operates within thisgroup collaborating closely with resources across teams and departments throughout our client and building effective relationships with business partners and other members of the Development team.

As an IT Business Analyst, you will work as part of a product-focused, cross-functional delivery team where you will build open and trusted relationships with your team and stakeholders.

You will look to understand the needs of our client’s business and technology stakeholders and define the changes required to deliver solutions that address these needs.

You will lead and facilitate structured workshops with stakeholders and end users to identify and prioritize requirements. Working within a team, you will use a broad toolkit of analysis and modelling techniques to elaborate requirements.

You will play a pivotal role in producing and presenting high quality communications, presentations and visualizations. You will represent the team among the wider project and department, engaging with key stakeholders, demonstrating software and acquiringfeedback.

In addition, you will contribute to the Analyst community, embrace change and share knowledge with a network of stakeholders.

Other roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Use a range of analysis techniques and facilitate collaborative sessions to elicit requirements from key stakeholders.
- Write high-quality, clear User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to form a well organised Product Backlog that is prioritised according to business objectives, from which the development team can estimate/size, plan and deliver changes.
- Use agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and to deliver value incrementally - find innovative ways to solve problems and to shape the delivery.
- Represent your delivery team among the wider department, providing vision and direction to your delivery team based on project demands and input from key stakeholders.
- Become a domain expert within your business line and associated systems.

**What will you bring to the role?**

They are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst who has a passion for the role and experience of working in an agile way. The role will require you to have experience of Agile software development.

Other required skills, experience and competencies include;
- Proven ability to successfully gather requirements and get results with mínimal supervision.
- Experience liaising with stakeholders to elicit requirements, use of system design concepts, propose solutions and translate these for other members of the development team.
- Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data and present it in accessible formats.
- Experience of working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, encouraging the adoption and continuous improvement of practices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.

The Ability to create diagrams, models, and use them to communicate is highly desirable.
