The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accounts assistant on behalf of a Food company based in Towcester.

The Role
you will be required to travel on site to Liverpool for 3/4 days per week with expenses and travel paid until June and from June ongoing you will then be based in Cold Higham. This is an office based role in Cold Higham Monday to Friday working 8:30-17.00.Working within a small accounts team this is a wide ranging role and requires engagement with many different areas of the business (Sales through to Logistics) focussing on the Accounts Payable role but also playing a supporting role to the wider Finance Team.The role would therefore suit an individual with several years of industry experience in the Accounts Payable role but also has some experience of reconciliation and general bookkeeping. Reporting into the Management Accountant

**Daily**
- Bank reconciliation ofLloydsCF a/c
- Depot banking
- Cardnet
- Direct payments
- Sorting queries, liaising with depots
- Daily sales reporting, collating information from depots, entering data and reporting
- Bank Account Reconciliations, resolve queries, make journal entries where required and process direct debits
- Maintain Sales Ledger - Post daily cash and allocate to appropriate invoice
- Sales Ledger queries
- Daily cash flow reconciliation and notifications to RPFG for draw down information
- Daily WSL cash flow and payment list for authorisation, including approval for document payments

**Weekly**
- LloydsCF reconciliation
- Trade Finance - Maintain Trade Finance register, reconcile bank statement, calculate repayments. Forecast future repayments for cash flow, checking documents and FOREX calculations
- Foreign Supplier payments and ad hoc payments as required, including production of cash flow information. Dealing with supplier payment queries
- Current Account Bank Reconciliation, resolve queries, make journal entries where required and process direct debits
- Cover all aspects of credit control
- In conjunction with the FC review discretionary ratings and give recommendations.
- Liaise with Traders and Insurance Brokers on all credit matters.
- Update customer records on IT system.
- Liaise with traders on debt positions
- Review companies house records and accounts

Your Profile
You must have excellent attention to detail, a great personality, outgoing, pro-active, trustworthy and honest, Strong accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principles. Someone that is looking to push forward and gain more knowledge along the way. Someonewho is thick skinned and willing to push themselves to the to the limit.

**Requirements**:

- Some experience in transactional finance
- Good understanding of accounts payable processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be ok to travel to Liverpool for 3/4 days a week
- Experience with transactional finance

Salary and Benefits
