Sportswear Designer

Fly is currently the UK’s leading boxing and combat sportswear brand, but are making moves into the luxury sportswear/running market. We provide equipment and apparel to leading sports men and women, as well as global celebrities and fitness enthusiasts.

We are seeking someone with a passion for design with drive and enthusiasm, to work with us on releasing new apparel product ranges with a detailed knowledge of garments and predominantly sportswear. The role will also include writing tech packs and leasing with the director on some product designs too.

The role is office based and the requirement to be in the office in order to work with the team is essential we are fairly rural, so the ability to be able to drive to work will be required.

**The job role includes but isn’t exclusive to**:

- Working with the Director, you will be responsible for designing new collections. This is from research, the entire product development, through to production and presentation to market.
- Working closely with the head of design, logistics manager, sales, the customer and the factories, to ensure all products answer briefs and reach all design standards and reach production on time and in perfect order.
- Create tech packs from initial stages through to final bulk production
- Supporting the manufacturer with any technical issues during production
- Review and sign-off samples and swatches, liaising with the factory, customers and logistics teams as necessary.
- You must be a technical multi-disciplined designer who has the ability and enthusiasm to work across menswear, womenswear, sportswear and accessories across many different product categories, from sport training wear, to casual wear, outerwear and basic knitwear.
- Some experience within the apparel design industry.
- Degree in Design or other relevant qualifications.
- Work well individually as well as part of a team
- Able to work to deadlines

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
