Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a highly prominent mid-tier accounting firm with offices based Camberley, that are eager to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Senior Bookkeeper to join the existing team.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 10-20 clients from a diverse range of industry sectors.

Ensure general bookkeeping is completed in a timely manner.

Monthly reporting.

Production of monthly management accounts.

Cash flow management and forecasts.

Bank reconciliations.

Preparing and submitting VAT returns, dealing with HMRC queries.

Purchase and sales ledger.

Data entry using various accounting software (Xero and Quickbooks Online).

Credit control.

Liaising with clients and their representatives/managers.

Provide training to junior staff members.

Ad hoc tasks as required.

Person Responsibilities
- At least 3+ years' experience gained as a Bookkeeper/Senior Accounts Assistant working for a UK based accountancy practice.

Qualified or studying with a recognised qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA).

Working knowledge of Xero is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Highly organised with good attention to detail.

Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to thrive in a busy department.

Flexibility of approach as there will be lots of variety within the role.

Excellent communication skills.

Active team player, but also able to work independently and on own initiative, depending on the task at hand.
