We are a registered social landlord, a community benefit society and regulated by the Welsh Government. We own and manage over 2200 homes. **Purpose of the Post**
We are hugely passionate about delivering great service, quality and value for our tenants and believe in challenging the status quo and empowering our people to drive continued success.
Reporting to our Chief Executive, this role has full responsibility for the People strategy and leading the people team to deliver people related KPI’s and operational plans.
Delivering with pace, the highest standard of service and collaborating closely with leaders and colleagues at all levels to provide a combination of strategic thinking and operational delivery.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
**People Strategy**
- Lead on the people strategy and delivery of KPI’s across the People operational area.
- Provide expert advice and guidance through self and expert members of the team to the CEO, Exec Team, Heads of Service, Managers, Staff and Board. (and other committees).
- Work collaboratively at all levels to provide and champion strong leadership to deliver the people aspect of the corporate plan, ensuring that projects and resources are prioritised to support the delivery of strategic and operational objectives.
- Lead on high level people matters, act as a trusted advisor to coach and support leaders across the organisation to develop solutions to people related challenges.
- Work with the CEO and Chair of the Board on Board succession planning and training.
- Act as an ambassador and role model for the Association’s values an always maintain professionalism and integrity.
**Leading the People Team**
- Lead, empower, develop and motivate the People Team, ensuring continuous improvement and providing pace, direction, clear objectives and constructive and meaningful feedback.
- Support and empower the people team to take a customer-led approach to shaping end-to-end people services that are seamless, integrate the employee journey and deliver high levels of colleague satisfaction.
- Carry out regular one to one’s to ensure that well-being and individual contribution is on track.
- Prepare training plans to develop the team.
- Create a team culture where the people team continuously builds credibility and delivers with pace, professionalism and expertise.
- Be a listening and learning leader, drawing on service improvement, recommendations from tenants, community members and other parts of the organisation.
**Organisation Development**
- Oversee RHA’s staff engagement approach, learning, and keeping track of progress.
- Lead on organisation design, developing and delivering projects in these areas to support operational and strategic plans.
- Oversee the upskilling of leaders and colleagues within the organisation, ensuring that effective management tools are consistently in place such as MyPlan’s, 121’s, and team meetings and that a supportive performance culture is fostered.
- Lead on the development and deployment of an individual, team and organisational performance framework which rewards and recognises contributions and enables underperformance to be addressed.
**Systems, data and Technology**
- Maximise the use of technology in improving systems and process to make it easier for staff and colleagues to access the information they need.
- Oversee quality control of all people related data and systems to enable accurate and timely reporting and facilitate informed decision making.
**Risk Management**
- Maintain high standards of information governance and confidentiality at all times ensuring such practice is embedded within the team.
- Ensure that the People Team and its activity reflects the regulatory framework and demonstrates compliance to the performance standards.
**Equality, Diversity and Inclusion**
- Uphold and promote RHA’s values, reviewing our ED&I Strategy and practices and overseeing the development of ED&I frameworks.
- Lead on the EDI Strategy refresh and implementation ensuring that Welsh Government diversity action plans are fully encompassed and that existing framework and accreditation such as QED are championed.
