Stores Packer

Central Recruitment are currently looking for a stores packers to work at one of our well established clients within the Ebbw Vale area.

*Duties of job role will include*
- To operate the company’s equipment and machinery in a safe manner, complying with the company’s Health & Safety Policy, using any protective clothing and/or safety equipment provided
- Ensure safe and correct handling and storage of materials.
- Pack materials from production in accordance with packaging procedures or as instructed by your immediate supervisor.
- Drive the company’s forklift trucks to load, unload materials, and convey material into and out of production as required in a safe and responsible manner (no FLT licence required)
- Inputting information into the Company’s computer system as instructed by your line manager.
- Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary within the scope of the Stores department as directed by a company supervisor, Manager or Director.
- Have a good working attitude
- Have had previous experience in a stores role
- Have packing experience
- Have previous experience on pallet moving trucks

*Working hours and pay rates*

Initially days regular whilst being trained Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm

However you will transition to shift work quickly, which is Days and nights shift 6-6 4 days per week either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday (it’s not weekly alternating there is a shift rota which is potentially 1 week of nights in a 5 week period)

£10.04 per hour 40 hours per week

£15.06 per hour 5 hours per week

£30.12 night shift allowance per night shift (£120.48 per week of nights)

Increase hourly rate following successful 6-month probation
