**Summary**

Employment within the Grounds Maintenance team will offer a busy, quick thinking, high paced environment. All works are carried out with strict timescales to agreed standards and all relevant environment policies adhered to. Our frontline service requires grounds husbandry to be carried out in a skilful, efficient and effective manner, creating a safe environment for our customers to enjoy. As a frontline department, regular communication with partnering teams, the public and third party organisations is a key priority.

**What you will be doing**

The Grounds Maintenance team carry out a wide variety of tasks including verge cutting, hedge and shrub pruning and planting. Sport turf upkeep including football, cricket and golf play a major part of our workload. Play facility inspection/maintenance are also provided to ensure safe and engaging facilities for the public.

**About You**

A physically demanding position carried out in the natural environment in all weathers. The Grounds Maintenance team are a flexible, front line service working directly within the public domain, therefore the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice is essential for the post.

**Additional Information**

You will be operating a wide variety of professional machinery along with hand tools on a daily basis.

A full clean driving license is essential for this role.
