Liverpool, United Kingdom Liverpool John Moores University Full time

The School of Nursing and Advanced Practice has recently been restructured to enhance the focus on undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and advanced multidisciplinary practice. Situated in the Faculty of Health, the School plays a key role in the development of the current and future health workforce. The post graduate portfolio is significant and increasing each year with various local, regional, and national programmes. The School plays a pivotal role in the Advanced Practice agenda regionally. The Faculty of Health strives to tackle health inequalities, social exclusion and deprivation in local communities and beyond, through our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, along with a growing programme of international partnerships and student opportunities. There is a developing culture of multidisciplinary research into post
- graduate education, simulation and advanced practice poised for additional growth and funding.

We are seeking to appoint a Subject Head in Post Graduate Nursing and Advanced Practice to provide leadership of the Post Graduate and continuing professional development programmes with line management of academic staff engaged in teaching, research and enterprise. You will be responsible for the academic development and delivery of high-quality taught programmes in Post Graduate Nursing, including Post registration programmes and Advanced Practice.

You will be able to demonstrate academic leadership of nurse education and curriculum developments with the ability to respond to workforce challenges, the external environment and policy in this area. You will have a strong profile in education, research and innovation whilst ensuring the student experience is central. Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Nursing and a PhD (or be actively working towards this).

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals dedicated to providing an outstanding student experience who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is your opportunity to be a key contributor to providing a high quality, exceptional and transformative educational experience for students, and be part of our continuing successful trajectory. We believe that LJMU is an environment that will enable your successes to be recognised, celebrated, and rewarded. You will join a team of staff with significant real-world experience and expertise from a range of disciplines which means that we are able to support your endeavours and provide mentorship as you grow in your role. If you are student-focused, enthusiastic, and motivated, then LJMU is an excellent place to work. You will receive a competitive salary, with high quality pension provision and excellent holidays alongside a wide range of staff social and well-being benefits.

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance will be required for this post at the appropriate level and Occupational Health clearance is required for the posts regulated by the NMC (to be undertaken upon appointment).

LJMU values diversity and provides a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can fulfil their potential.

LJMU are committed to adhering to the Principles set out in the Researcher Development Concordat; in line with this all fixed-term researchers will be supported to complete 10 days professional development activities per year (pro-rata).
