Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant, plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service.

Please note that the average amount of shifts for this role will be one to four a week, depending on the season. Weekend, holidays and bank holiday work is required on rotation.

**Please note the salary advertised is inclusive of an outer London weighting allowance of £3,003 per annum.**

What it's like to work here:One of the last surviving country estates in London, Osterley Park and House is a vibrant attraction. The high turnaround of visitors means work is fast-paced, with the team always looking for creative ways to attract greater visitor numbers. Outdoor activities are a key focus, and the estate is part of the National Trust’s Cycle Trail project. Osterley Park enjoys a fantastic location just 20 minutes outside of London, so you can travel here by car or public transport.

Osterley Park and House also has a garden for all seasons - the gardens are divided into three areas to ensure interest all year round and perfect if you're looking for some garden inspiration The urban eighteenth-century formal gardens were restored by the National Trust to their original grandeur.

What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day from two locations on property.

You'll welcome visitors to our property when they first arrive in the car park or welcoming them into the house or gardens in the Visitor Welcome Kiosk. You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.

You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property. You'll direct visitors to our multiple offers on site, engage with repeat visiting member, sell new memberships, maintain compliance standards, monitor car park payments, and distribute accessibility vehicles when necessary.
