Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a South Yorkshire based Borough Council to recruit a Senior Property Surveyor on an initial two-month contract. The post-holder will provide specialist property advice for and on behalf of the Council in thetimely delivery of a caseload of asset management activities. Providing support to less experienced and unqualified Surveyors

**Role Information**
- Fully flexible hybrid/remote working
- Flexible working hours (based on a 37.25 hour week)
- Pay Rate: £400 per day INSIDE IR35

**Key Responsibilities**
- Asset review, acquisition and disposal activities for all purposes.
- Valuation of all types of Council owned property for annual asset valuation in accordance with prevailing CIPFA & RICS practice standards and general valuation advice for all purposes.
- Any asset related matters arising from the delivery of the Councils major projects programme and Urban Centre Masterplan.
- All estate management related issues arising from both the operational and non-operational property portfolios as set out in the Landlord and Tenant Acts and in the delivery of community led services through the Councils Community Lease process
- Providing support and advice to partnered Housing Associations on all Asset related matters
- All asset related activities supporting the delivery of the Councils Asset Management Strategy and associated plans.
- Supporting the technical and professional development of less experienced and unqualified Surveyors.

**Essential Criteria**
- RICS accredited degree and evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of working in asset management across a range of property types and for different purposes within a complex customer focussed environment.
- Experience of working corporately, across boundaries and with external partners
- Ability to clearly write and present evidence and reports on complex matters.
