Gas Distribution Assistant

**Gas Distribution Assistant/ Operative/ Groundworker/ Labourer**

There is an opportunity for the position of **Gas Distribution Assistant/ Operative**, based in the Elgin area reporting to the Gas Distribution Team Lead.

As part of this role, you will support Engineers on site, learning from them daily and carrying out gas service and mains repair activities. There is a physical aspect of the role including excavating/ digging in public and private areas. You will be working in a range of outdoor environments and adhere to safety guidelines.

**What you need to be suitable for this role**
- You will need a full UK Driving License (ESSENTIAL)
- Reliable and willingness to work ourdoors in all weather conditions
- Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Happy to work flexible hours including 24-hour standby (on occasion)

**Desirable but full training is provided**
- Knowledge of site set up and site safety would be advantageous
- City & Guilds 6028-01 Network Construction Operations Level 1
- City & Guilds 6029-01 Gas Network Operations Level 1

**Salary**: £25,600.00-£32,924.00 per year
