Simpsons Wine Estate is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and energetic Vineyard Operative to join its dynamic, quality focussed team. This individual would be based at the Estate in Barham, Kent and should:

- be of able body / fitness to carry out the regular manual tasks involved in the growing of vines and the maintenance of the Estate
- be able to operate a modern fleet of viticultural equipment and machinery
- display strong problem solving and communications skills
- exude a strong team-working ethos, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks.Members of the Simpsons Team are regularly involved in a broad range of duties, such asbottling in the Estate’s winery
- be flexible in working extended hours when necessary, for example, during the frostprotection programme in Spring and harvest period in October

Main duties entail, but are not limited to:

- Vineyard operations: pruning, tying, shoot selection, picking, planting
- Vineyard tractor operations: mowing, leaf trimming, leaf removal, spreading, ploughing,inter cep work, plant protection
- Site maintenance: upkeep of the site - headlands, borders, gates, windbreak management, work with flowers and plants in eco-friendly zones; vineyard trellis repairs/maintenance; strimming work
- Tractor and equipment maintenance: workshop work, maintaining a high level ofservicing for our machinery and equipment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £5.00-£15.00 per hour
