We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Engineer to join our team of Engineering Surveyors on the largest project in Europe.

**Responsibilities**:
The ALIGN Junior Engineering Surveyor shall work alongside the onsite team:

- Learn about how to support in the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project.
- Liaise with the client representative and designers over design issues/changes.
- Assist the site management team in managing sections of the work/specific sub-contract packages.
- Along site the onsite team, carry out checks for quality in accordance with the inspection and test plan throughout the contract and duly record. Carry out checks on the sub-contractor’s setting out.
- Learn how to carry out surveys of completed works to record as-built conditions.
- Learn how to create method statements and inspection and test plans.
- Working with the onsite team, the apprentice civil engineer shall play a key part in establishing and monitor detailed programme with the aim of meeting the milestones of the Project general programme
- Take reasonable care for the safety of themselves and of any other person who may be affected by what they do or fail to do at work
- Co-operate with their employers or any other persons in the performance of their statutory duties

Skills & Experience
- Engineering Background whether that be a Degree or HND
- Professional, proactive and receptive to constructive advice and guidance.
- Able to take responsibility and take pride in the work delivered.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in engineering, within the construction and infrastructure industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to think outside the box and communicate these thoughts effectively.
- Computer literate - able to use the main computer software packages.
- Able to take a responsible approach and promote health and safety at all times.
