Farrall’s Group are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and experienced Driver Trainer to join the team based out of our Deeside Depot.

45 hours per week - with a competitive salary of £34,504.60

**Class 1 Licence and previous experience is essential**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Deliver training courses throughout the year to ensure that the company fully meets its driver performance standards (including safety, economy, defensive driving, safe systems of work, Driver CPC) together with compliance of all statutory driving regulations for all its driver resources.
- Improve driver behavior to incorporate both defensive and economical driving techniques.
- Deliver DCPC courses to JAUPT accreditation standards.
- Document appropriate individual and/or collective driver training action plans as necessary, including any statutory requirements and safe systems of work.
- Ensure that 100% of drivers to have undertaken 1 day’s training per year.
- Conduct driver assessments across all sites as part of the recruitment process as requested.
- Responsible for delivering the Driver Induction and providing driver training to all new drivers in accordance with the company Driver Handbook and compliance regulations, ensuring that all Drivers have been assessed and passed as competent prior to driving for the business.
- Responsible for documenting competency frameworks to ensure all new starters have been inducted to the company standard.
- Maintain electronic driver trainer records.
- Conduct risk assessments for driving routes and premises undertaken by drivers as requested.
- Work alongside the H&S function to identify risks and then help to devise and deliver a training plan to mitigate them.
- Support the Health and Safety Manager in dealing with insurance claims and road traffic accidents.
- Investigate driver related collisions with a view to retraining and preventing the reoccurrence of such events.
- Offer advice and support where required for any internal investigations of accidents and near misses.
- To support and develop a culture of continuous improvement and provide advice and support to local operations management on systems of work and processes that directly involve driver roles and driver performance and help nurture a culture where all drivers are focused on doing things better than ever before.
- Manage driver infringements: Dealing with the drivers, reporting infringements, and assigning any follow up training required.
- Promote the Companies core values and ensure positive engagement with all Drivers.
- Ensure all Drivers are issued with the appropriate ‘toolkits.
- The role will spend most of the time based at the Ashton and Deeside site. However, regular travel will be required in terms of performing a Driver role and some travel to other sites, locations, and training venues etc. may also be required.
- Create and maintain effective relevant liaisons and collaboration with colleagues and managers across other departments, locations and functions of the Company.
