A highly dynamic and progressive law firm based in Liverpool are seeking to recruit a Newly Qualified Solicitor/ FCILEx looking for a retraining opportunity to deal with Police Complaints to join their expanding team within the Department.
- Multi-track experience is preferred.
- Have a strong billing history;
- Be able to proactively assist with the development of the department, to include developing and identifying sources of work.
- This would suit a Lawyer who has completed their training in Personal Injury and looking to retrain due to the recent reforms.
Responsibilities will include: -- Running a caseload of Police Complaint cases from inception to conclusion, including investigations, obtaining expert evidence, drafting Letters of Claim, settlement negotiations, drafting pleadings and litigation as appropriate;
- Vetting and risk assessing new cases coming into the department;
- Liaising and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
- Working to deadlines
- Advocacy experience would be beneficial
- Providing a High level of Client Service
