Trainee Hot Foil Die Maker

Metallic Elephant is a leading manufacturer of high-quality magnesium etching products for various industries. We are currently seeking a Trainee Magnesium Etcher to join our growing team at our manufacturing centre based in the beautiful Essex countryside, just outside Colchester.

**Job Description**:
As a Trainee Magnesium Etcher, you will be responsible for learning and mastering the art of magnesium etching. This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training and the opportunity to develop new skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Learn and understand the properties of magnesium and the etching process
- Prepare magnesium plates for etching
- Operate etching equipment to create precise and accurate designs
- Monitor and adjust etching process parameters for optimal results
- Inspect etched plates for quality control and make any necessary adjustments
- Finish plates to a high stand using Dremels, Bandsaws, and Sanders
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- No prior experience required, on-the-job training will be provided
- Basic understanding of math and measurements
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 25 kgs

The hours of work are 9.00 - 5.30 pm, Mon - Friday

We are in a rural position, so own transport is necessary.

**Salary**: £24,960.00 per year
