**Role - LOTO Coordinator**

**Duration - Initial 3 Month Contract**

**Location - On-site in Blyth (NE24)**

**Working Hours - 10 Hour Days (Monday to Friday)**

BTS are currently seeking a motivated Lockout Tagout Coordinator to play a key part in the Health and Safety Team on an initial 3-month contract. The LOTO Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing and implementing the Lockout-Tagout program to prevent workplace accidents and ensure the safety of our employees. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining LOTO procedures, conducting training, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and being Energy Isolation Trained.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Develop and Maintain LOTO Procedures**:

- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive Lockout-Tagout procedures for all equipment and machinery in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
- Regularly review and revise procedures to reflect changes in equipment or regulations.

**Training and Education**:

- Conduct LOTO training sessions for employees, contractors, and maintenance personnel to ensure they understand the proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Keep employees informed about LOTO updates and best practices.

**LOTO Inspections**:

- Regularly inspect work areas to ensure LOTO procedures are being followed correctly.
- Identify and address any LOTO violations or safety concerns promptly.

**Documentation and Record-Keeping**:

- Maintain detailed records of all LOTO procedures, training sessions, and inspection reports.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for audits and compliance purposes.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay up-to-date with all relevant safety regulations and standards, particularly OSHA's
- Lockout-Tagout requirements. Ensure the company's LOTO program remains compliant with current regulations.

**Energy Isolation Trained**:

- Be trained and proficient in energy isolation procedures, including the isolation of energy sources during maintenance, servicing, and repair activities.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Collaborate with management and safety teams to identify opportunities for improving the LOTO program and overall workplace safety.
- Implement best practices and recommend equipment or process modifications for enhanced safety.

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant qualification in Health & Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH or similar
- Relevant certifications in safety management, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Energy Isolation Training.
- Proven experience in safety coordination or a similar role.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA Lockout-Tagout regulations.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Proficiency in using LOTO and energy isolation software and related tools.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £200.00-£300.00 per day
