**Electrical Test Engineer**

Avolon M&E are working with a leading M&E contractor who require experienced Electrical Testers to join them on a permenant basis covering the Nottinghamshire area.

An excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading M&E service providers. We provide electrical and mechanical engineering services on major industrial, commercial and public sector new build and refurbishment projects and existing installations throughout the UK. Our reputation for high quality work and first-class service has been established through longstanding relationships with major clients.

Aligned with this role will be the opportunity to become an authorised person for the business where you will be responsible for the safe systems of work at site level including safe control of electrical energisations and isolations, permit and key control and liaising with third party contractors for their electrical requirements. Previous experience in a Low Voltage Authorised Person role would be advantageous.

**Duties**:

- To test and complete draft certification for new electrical installations and periodic inspections in accordance with current standards.
- To communicate regularly and effectively with clients’ representatives and project management in order to maintain and develop excellent professional working relationships.
- To undertake electrical remedial works following a periodic inspection and test
- To organise works allocated and time efficiently, and work supportively within a team.
- To work as a Low Voltage Authorised Person in support of our electrical safe system of work.
