Parent Infant Therapist/Clinical Psychologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Nursing (HV/RMN) - Parent And Infant Relationship Service

We are seeking a highly specialist individual who is enthusiastic and passionate about Parent Infant Relationship work and Infant Mental Health to join our new service in Blackpool.

The service is in its recruitment phase, we have recently recruited our Clinical Lead - a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who will be bringing a wealth of experience in this field, along with our Clinical Lead we do have a number of dedicated and committed practitioners who are now in post and ready to start on this exciting venture for families and babies in our area.

The Blackpool Parent Infant Relationship Service aims to provide specialist assessment and intervention for Parents and Families, along with evidence based interventions.

We will be working to bring together multi-disciplinary staff and expertise, so that we can offer the following to our community:
- Psychological interventions that are evidenced based and in Iine with NICE Guidelines
- Specialist early interventions
- Trauma informed approaches
- Peer worker support, groups or 1:1
- Assessment and signposting to onward support for partners of those accessing services.
- Support to improve the parent infant relationship, bonding and parenting support strategies.
- The post holder will be part of the Blackpool Parent Infant Relationship Service supporting the development of the service in Blackpool.
- The post holder will provide specialist parent infant relationship/infant mental health advice and support to parents and families.
- To provide specialist parent infant relationship/infant mental health advice, support and training for clinicians and other relevant multiagency partners.
- The post holder will have continuous responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the health needs of a defined population.
- The post holder will assist in the development and implementation of policies, pathways and protocols that support and improve the parent infant relationship and infant mental health, and will provide evidence and guidance. The specialist will work across a range of settings and organisational boundaries to support staff working in the community.
- The post holder will work in partnership with individuals, families and communities and collaborate with the wider multi-agency team in accordance with the local and national public health agenda.
- The postholder will provide a training and development aspect which involves acting as a specialist resource and contributing to multi-agency training of relevant professionals across Blackpool.
- The post holder will be expected to offer consultation and clinical supervision to professional colleagues.

The post holder will be based in the Blackpool Parent Infant Relationship Service. The Blackpool Parent Infant Relationship Service work predominantly with children aged 0-2 year old and their families, but will provide therapeutic interventions to the 3-5 cohort working in partnership with CAMHS and universal health to ensure that children and their families are able to access support where there are difficulties in the nurturing relationship.
