_**Legal Cashier / Finance Manager - £21k to £30k - Remote working / London based Solicitors**_

A Solicitors in the centre of London, is looking for a Legal Cashier to join its team. Although this is a post ofr a Legal Cashier, some of the duties may suit a Finance Manager as well, although they are ideally looking for someone who has a Legal Cashierbackground. They are flexible on hours, although this is a permanent role and would also be happy for the person to work remotely.

**SALARY ETC**:

- £21,000 to £30,000 + benefits
- Permanent, full-time
- Happy with fully remote working (the office is based in central London)
- Hours can be flexible, but to give you an idea the current post holder works 10-4 Monday-Thursday and Friday 9-5.30
- Start: ASAP, although happy to wait for the right person

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 5 years’ practical experience as a legal cashier
- Reliable, accountable, consistent, efficient, discrete, pleasant, supportive.
- Methodical, attention to detail, responsive, forward thinking and keen to exploit technology to streamline and automate processes, great interaction with the team, keen to support,
- Detailed knowledge of Leap, Xero, Perfect Portal, Infotrack, Ecos, Land Registry, LAA Crime Billing Submission Portal, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Beneficial if you have knowledge of Lloyds Commercial & Business Online Bank, Card Net,
- Well versed in requirements under the CQS, SQM, LAA Crime Franchise, SRA Accountancy Rules and Anti-Money Laundering & Bribery Regulations

**DUTIES TO INCLUDE**:

- Carry out day to day banking functions
- Daily Client account reconciliations & maintain client account in line with SAR rules
- Office account transactions (all accounts) and weekly reconciliations
- Issuing cheques from client and office account and payments in dealing with client and office receipts
- Inter account transfers & raising digital credit cards and authorization
- Taking card payments from clients and setting up payment plans using card net
- Ability to work to deadlines and deliver under pressure including dealing with SRA Audits, HMRC audits.
- Private Billing, e-billing, time recording including dealing with disbursements. billing
- Preparing Trading Profit and Loss account & Balance Sheet, Purchase Ledger
- Posting journal entries to normal accounts
- Dealing with daily queries from the team in relation to account queries
- Liaising with the firms suppliers and paying invoices, through Xero
- Dealing with write offs, bad debts and Archiving, Credit control for bad debt management
- Financial management in liaison with fee earners including time/disbursements and fee targets
- Prepare a weekly cash flow forecast to include billing projections by fee earners Advise on and implement process efficiency measures, with an emphasis on streamlining processes and maximising use of technology
- Liaise with external bodies such as Accountants as needed
- Knowledge of the LAA criminal franchise accounting
- Legal Aid Billing and processing Claims and Costing
- Delivering monthly management reports to the Managing partners
