Transport Planner

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a competitive salary of £28,000 (including night shift allowance) per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays). **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Carry out driver debriefs, ensuring that our transport operation is running both safely and cost-effectively
- Routing and scheduling for following mornings runs. Route balancing
- Plan and assist in planning daily and weekly vehicle routes for drivers making sure all our customers goods are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work on keeping the system up to date on a daily basis ensuring the jobs on the system travel systematically

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- Previous experience of working within a fast-paced transport environment (desirable)
- Strong people skills - you’ll bemeetinga variety of stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
- Confidence in the use of IT, especially with Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel
