VD Recruitment has partnered with a leading chain of Nursery Schools in **South East England**. They offer a wide range of facilities to bring forth their holistic approach and to create a stimulating and fun environment for children.

We are looking for a **Room Leader** **(Pre School**)to join a lovely 123 place nursery with Good Ofsted rating on a full time permanent basis.

The Room Leader is responsible for the day-to-day running of their room and supporting the management team in leading the setting to ensure that high quality childcare is provided to all. This role profile is not exhaustive and the Room Leader is expected to fulfil any duty as required for the effective running of the setting.

This setting provides a car park outside the nursery for employees to use. **‘Good’** OFSTED rating.

**Location - Walton On Thames, KT12**

**Salary Offered - £28,500 /pa + Benefits**

**Hours - 40 / week**

Key responsibilities as a Room Leader:

- Act as a role model for the Early Years, ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the room to an exemplary standard.
- Engage with the Nursery Management Team to understand and comply with registration and legislative requirements, including any requirements outlined by Ofsted.
- To fulfil the role of a key-person to an exemplary standard, providing a positive role model for team members.
- Ensure that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded in the room.
- Be the first point of contact for any parent queries for children in your room.
- Adhere to, and role model best practice safeguarding requirements.
- Carry out audits within the room.

**Person Specification for the ideal Room Leader**:

- Minimum Level 3 in Childcare & Education and a strong desire to make a differenceThe ability to deliver high-quality practice.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
