Babergh and Mid-Suffolk District Councils are going through an exciting period of change, with the creation of a new Compliance Team within our Housing Directorate.

The Compliance Team will oversee the management and maintenance of the key compliance areas of gas, electrical, asbestos, fire, lifts and water hygiene as well as play a pivotal role in the management of damp and mould.

**About the Mechanical Manager role**:
We are looking for a Mechanical Manager to join our new team in Building Services. You will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager you will lead on the operational delivery of the mechanical service across our housing assets.

You will ensure that contractors deliver their service in accordance with contractual requirements.

You will also ensure that gas, oil, and solid fuel servicing is undertaken to domestic and commercial assets, including detector testing and servicing so that we meet our Statutory and Regulatory obligations.
