We have a great opportunity for a Gateman to join our team within Vistry Housebuilding Thames Valley, at our site in Portugal Road Woking GU21 5JE.

- Valid CSCS Card
- Valid Traffic Marshal/Banksman card
- Previous experience of working on a construction site and control of access/egress of staff, operatives & deliveries
- Previous experience of traffic marshalling
- Reliable & punctual
- Ability to communicate effectively with site staff
- Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times whilst on site

**More about the Gateman role **
- Ensure all persons entering the site are authorised to do so
- Meet all site traffic at the front gate and direct them safely through the site, ensuring any vehicle manoeuvres are safe and do not put anyone in danger
- Ensure prioritisation of deliveries where required
- Present a positive image of the Company to all visitors and offer assistance at all times
- Liaise with site staff to plan ahead for the day’s delivery schedule, along with any other duties requested by the Site Manager
- General tidying and housekeeping duties
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operative Procedures, in line with current Government guidelines
- Check/maintain/report any issues with pedestrian/walkway/traffic segregation
- Check/maintain/report any issues associated with mud/debris tracking out from the site onto the highway/public footpaths
- Ensure all operatives/visitors are signed in and out of the site
- Lock up the gate at the end of the day
