Joiner/shopfitter

**Summary**

We are currently recruiting for a Joiner/Shopfitter to come aboard our team at Effect Joinery Ltd. If you have experience working on commercial projects, shop-fitting and maybe even dry lining, this may be the opportunity for you.

Effect Joinery brings a wealth of experience and provide services to our clients in creating exceptional interiors for offices, retail, hospitality and the leisure sector in Yorkshire, and across the UK, from bespoke offices and retail shop fit-outs to larger commercial projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Using hand tools/power tools to fit and install products and equipment to a high standard.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and general housekeeping.
- Working with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Understanding technical drawings and how your work will fit within the building
- Conducting site surveys
- Creating design drawings, alongside sketches of the work needed and the specifications
- Setting out from drawings
- Producing cutting lists
- Estimating the materials needed for a job
- Conducting quality checks
- Producing progress reports for senior managers.

**Essential requirements**
- Have previous similar commercial joinery/shop fitting experience.
- Drylining experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations.
- Having experience, be willing to work at height.
- Be customer focussed, and happy to go the extra mile for customers when required.
- Demonstrable ability for personal organisation and effective working alone or within a team.
- Have experience of delivering high-quality and compliant works.
- Prepared to travel and work away from home when necessary.
- A flexible attitude towards work, including hours and location.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ideally have your own transport.

**Qualifications**
- City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3 in carpentry, joinery or equivalent.
- CSCS Card
- Full valid UK driving licence
- SMSTS

**Benefits**

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
