We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our busy hotel front desk. We require a great first impression with a skilled approach to the requirements our high level of customer service and administrative responsibilities with a smile. The key to this role is being confident and organised with the ability to accept changes and a flexible attitude. Our small team is the key to success for our guests and the cohesion to work as part of a team with exemplary communication is paramount.

**Responsibilities**:

- Registration of guests
- Checking availability for bedroom reservations and informing customer of rates and packages.
- Enter booking details onto computer system and send confirmations to customer
- Ensuring that, in addition to the room booking all package items have been booked (i.e. Spa treatments, table in restaurant etc.)
- Produce registration forms for checking in guests and use the information provided by the guest at check-in to update their details on the system Issue key-cards for guests arriving.
- On a daily basis cross check all bookings with confirmations received
- Filing all necessary forms for reference.
- Checking out guests and taking payments.
- Handling cash in/cash out and all credit card payments and recording on system.
- Addressing customer’s requests according to hotel procedures.
- Informing all departments of last minute changes made to any of above reservations.
- Restaurant reservations
- Taking Lakes Restaurant table reservations for lunches, dinners and afternoon teas.
- Taking enquiries for private and corporate reservations for private function rooms.
- Informing all departments of last minute changes made to any of above reservations.
- General correspondence
- Processing all necessary correspondence.
- Delegating correspondence to relevant departments and team members.
- Daily routines
- Ensuring communications for all daily information required
- Running End of Shift report and checking it against all recorded payments taken during the shift.
- Updating room status
- Reconciling cash and float at the end of the day.
- Informing management of any discrepancies.

Any other duties commensurate with the post

**The shift pattern is based on 2 week set rota and may include**:

- Morning shifts: 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm
- Middle shifts: 10am - 6pm
- Late shifts: 3pm - 11pm or 2pm - 10pm
- Weekdays and Weekends

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £10.42-£10.82 per hour
