The Ryes College Ltd provides Education and Care in both Suffolk and Norfolk to young people who have a range of complex needs. As an organisation, we use the Secure Base Model (developed by Gillian Schofield & Mary Beek, University of East Anglia) which is underpinned by attachment theory to provide a framework for care giving and education.

We use the principles of a Therapeutic Community within our homes and the wider organisation to develop social responsibility, develop meaningful relationships and to be valued as part of a wider group. The task of the therapeutic community is to recreate a network of close relationships, much like a family, in which deeply ingrained behavioural patterns, negative cognition's and adverse emotions can be re-learned.

Children come to live with us for a variety of reasons but the one thing they all have in common is that they need an environment which makes them feel cared for, safe and wanted. We strive to give our children the best experience of childhood that we possibly can; encouraging them to use their imagination and partake in a range of activities such as trips to the beach, fishing, bike rides, theme parks etc.

Our home with a vacancy in Norfolk is full of laughter, love and fun, and led by an amazing manager with a history of running outstanding services. This role is perfect for someone who wants to help make a difference to our children's lives and be part of an incredible team. Experience isn't essential as full training will be given, but a positive attitude _is_ essential.
