**Job Summary**:
**Avantor** is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to optimize our Distribution & Warehouse Operations that directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our MESM, Chorley site. You will have the opportunity to be part of the amazing warehouse team. If you are dependable, flexible, and organized in activities that relates to good in, picking, packing, returns and stock control

**The team**

Avantor’s Warehouse Operative is part of a busy team of 10.

**What we’re looking for**
- Previous experience in picking & packing, goods in & out, dispatch
- Stock control
- Good organisational skills
- Reliability and dependability
- Literacy & numeracy
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Self-motivated
- Upbeat and energised
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Team player
- FLT license highly desirable but not essential

**How you will thrive and create an impact**

You will direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas. Verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. As well as examine important incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages. Plus examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications that improves the success of the company.
