Technical Assistant

Hamlyns of Scotland Ltd is one of the UK’s leading Oat Millers, and part of The Morning Foods Group of companies. We are seeking a talented Technical Assistant to join our company which supplies both own label and branded products to UK leading supermarkets, wholesalers, foodservice and manufacturing customers.

The position is ideally suited to someone who has relevant QA or technical administration experience in the food industry or for a food graduate with some experience looking to progress.
- Good IT skills including Word and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Confident outgoing personality, good communication skills.

The job will involve the tasks below although this list is not exhaustive:
- Checking products for adherence to customer specifications.
- Assisting the Technical Manager in maintaining the quality systems and BRC requirements including internal audits.
- Organising taste panels and dealing with retailer queries and requests for information
- Day to day technical administration tasks including data entry, certificate issuing, organising training etc.
