Decontamination Technician

Job Title: Decontamination Technician

Key Accountabilities
- Build and nurture great working relationships with the Dental Nurse team
- Be actively involved in the smooth running of the practice by working well with your practice team Performance
- Take ownership of daily and weekly organisation of the decontamination room in order to ensure efficient turnaround of instruments and equipment
- Ensure decontamination room hygiene and infection control processes are adhered to in line with current guidance ensuring the decontamination process is followed (HTM 01-05 / WHTM 01-05)
- Regularly checking stock levels of materials required for the decontamination process - Maintain practice equipment in line with manufacturer’s instructions Process
- Ensure excellent practice regulatory compliance and clinical standards in line with relevant regulation and guidance
- Ensure all validation documentation is completed and reviewed for the decontamination process
- Comply with the mydentist health and safety policy and all relevant risk assessments including the use of sharps, CoSHH assessments and wearing correct personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Always adhere to policies and procedures

**Salary**: £8.50-£10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Rota'D Saturday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Huntingdon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
