**Position**: Assisted Animal Therapist (Self-Employed Basis)

**Location**: Liverpool / Wigan / Warrington / Widnes Areas

**Hours**: Initially 2 hours per day (term time only)

**Who We're Looking For**:
**Qualified Professional**:We seek individuals with relevant qualifications such as Teaching, Play Therapy, or Counselling.
**Dog Owners**:If you own a suitable therapy dog, we encourage you to apply. Unsure about your dog's suitability? Reach out to us for assessment and support.
**Understanding of Dog Behaviour**:A crucial aspect of this role is comprehending and responding to the needs of our dogs.
**Driving Capability**: Must have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for commuting to and from schools.

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Therapeutic Engagement**:Conducting one-on-one sessions with children alongside your therapy dog in various locations within the Liverpool/Warrington/Widnes areas. (Please note, sessions are limited to 2 hours per day to ensure the well-being of our therapy dogs.)
**Effective Communication**:Collaborating with school staff, parents, and other relevant parties to ensure the children's welfare.
**Dog Welfare Management**:Prioritising and managing the well-being of your therapy dog, with sessions limited to 2 hours a day to prevent stress or anxiety.
**Stay Informed**: Keeping abreast of changes in therapy and dog handling regulations within school settings.
**Safety Compliance**:Advanced DBS clearance and adherence to safeguarding standards are essential.
**Stay Connected**:You'll be in regular communication with Owner/Director Alison Colley, ensuring clear channels of support and collaboration.
