Housekeeping Room Attendant

**Job description**

Due to an expansion of the number of holiday lets at Hungerford Park we are looking for an experienced housekeeper to join our friendly team. The successful person will have experience of cleaning, washing and ironing of linen and running holiday accommodation including managing changeovers days, cleaning, laundry and where necessary organise cleaning rotas.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that can maintain a high level of professionalism whilst conducting these duties across our 4 holiday lets. You will be supported by a dynamic team who are happy to jump in and help at a moment’s notice.

The position is mostly required Mon - Fri, but with the flexibility needed to work weekend days too, changeover days dependant.

**Duties**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general cleaning tasks and laundry. Including cleaning and sanitising living areas, kitchens and appliances, bathrooms and replenishing supplies as needed;
- Change the bed sheets: wash, iron and store linen;
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as hallways and lobbies;
- Plan and carry out any additional ad hoc cleaning requirements i.e. oiling worktops, polishing wooden floors;
- Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards;
- Manage expenses and reordering of supplies;
- Deal with maintenance/repair issues, shortages in staff or equipment;
**Skills**:

- Good customer service;
- Fluency in English;
- Working knowledge of Word, excel and internet;
- Experience as a hotel manager or similar role;
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes;
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required.

**Job Type**: 40 hours per week (part time and flexibility considered around changeover days)

(Guests arrive anytime after 1500 and depart by 10am. Cleaning on changeover days to be done within those hours)

**Salary**: £27,000-£29,000 per annum depending on experience
