*Your role with us*
Your role is vital in delivering our operational forecasting systems, reaching far beyond the immediate team. The role is extremely varied and draws upon a diverse range of transferrable skills. You’ll work in partnership with various parts of the incident management community, such as the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and 3rd party suppliers, to ensure our critical forecasting systems remain operational.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what the Environment Agency does. Within your job role, you will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment. Full training and flexible working arrangements will be available to support you.

You’ll need:

- Recent experience of rolling out and embedding change
- Work experience in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, unafraid of the dynamic and uncertainty in delivering change
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of IT support and technology change
- A well-rounded understanding of the incident management forecasting & warning service

At present, we are ‘hybrid working’ with flexibility to work from home or an Environment Agency local office. We do require occasional travel for face-to-face meetings to work well with your team and others internally or externally.
