Safeguarding Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity available for a fulltime enthusiastic and experienced administrator to join the Safeguarding team on a permanent basis and be part of our improvement journey. You will be an integral part of the safeguarding team providing responses to requests for safeguarding information; and effective administration in receiving electronic correspondence, prioritising workload, redistributing and redirecting as necessary within the required deadlines.
This role will involve receiving and responding to a range of multi-agency partners in relation to general safeguarding enquires and in the maintenance of records, data collection and production. As a safeguarding administrator, you will be the first point of contact when dealing with a variety of professionals and agencies in the absence of a safeguarding clinician.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of emergency, urgent care and non-emergency healthcare services, along with commercial logistics services.
The Trust delivers most of these services to the populations of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire as well as non-emergency patient transport services in Surrey and Sussex.

- To support the Safeguarding Manager in all aspects of safeguarding management, at times working independently to support the Team’s workload.
- To maintain principles of confidentiality when handling highly sensitive, contentious information in relation to potential litigation.
To provide and receive complex and highly sensitive information.
To maintain effective relationships with Trust staff and external organisations, professionally representing the Trust as required.
- To manage an unpredictable workload, prioritising tasks appropriately and independently.
- Ensure that safeguarding referrals are sent to the appropriate agencies
- Maintaining information systems relating to safeguarding cases from all contacts
- To notify the safeguarding Manager of all new investigation requests received and update the database.
- To maintain an accurate and current tracking database of all activity on new and existing cases
