**IT Procurement Officer**

My client based in Guildford are currently seeking an IT Procurement Officer to join their rapidly growing UK Team. This is an opportunity to work for a highly respected financial institution and be a key part of some highly exciting project work.
The Procurement Officer will provide support to the Procurement Manager to deliver on SLAs and Targets. As well as this, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with strategic management, suppliers and key stakeholders across the business.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Achieve cost optimisation and other value added benefits to company supplier relationships.
- Assist the Strategic Procurement Manager to deliver on reporting and Management Information needs.
- Conduct Information Technology market research and analysis on strategic suppliers and alternative market leading vendors
- Support strategic and tactical sourcing projects such as vendor screening via approved channels and facilitate storage of associated contracts as per agreed policies.
- Report creation for vendor selection proposals, contract management, and savings tracking.
- Lead on contract management responsibilities, tracking on delivery against contractual terms and seeking improvements as and when possible.
- Ensure adherence to core Procurement standards and regulations (on both local and Group level), along with regulatory requirements.

- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong business acumen, ability to understand wider business impacts.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment with good negotiation skills and high degree of influencing and communication skills.
- Assertiveness, high tenacity, ability to work in a team as well as in a self-motivated and flexible way towards agreed objectives.
- Strategic and flexible mindset with analytical and result oriented thinking.
- Analytical skills and experience analysing spend and using market insights to support the development of category / sourcing strategies.

Ideally valid driving licence in the UK. Full right to work is also needed.
