**Sewing Machinist**

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Full Time; Permanent, 39 hours per week

Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire

**Profile**

Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established 25 years and is the market leader in the manufacture of furniture for the Hospitality Industry.They manufacturer and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton,Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.

**Job Purpose**

To work as a sewing machinist in the sewing and upholstery department. You will be responsible for interpreting drawings, cutting and sewing alongside a variety of other duties as listed below

**Responsibilities but not limited to: -**
- Sewing of a variety of material to cover hotel bedroom furniture products
- Using drawings to mark up the material ready for cutting.
- Foaming up
- Reporting any faults with fabric
- Basic Health and Safety awareness, including manual handling due to lifting and carrying of large quantities of material being part of the daily duties.

- Good eye for detail and fault-finding abilities
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Working as part of a team and on own.
