StratforduponAvon, United Kingdom Warwickshire County Council Full time

**Be part of something amazing**

***

We have opened our first Children’s home and need Children Residential Practitioners who are caring, determined, resilient people to be lasting, significant adults in a child’s life. Become a key worker for a child aged 8-13 years and make a difference to their lives, ensuring they receive the best care possible.

**Some **of the key things we’re looking for**:
Individuals who have a positive attitude, who can get alongside young people, are diligent and want to be part of our family at Cherry Tree house who care for Warwickshire children.

We are looking for somebody who wants the very best for children and young people; making sure every child and young person has the best possible care experience, that they feel love and joy and are encouraged to take the lead in their own life; working with them to build a positive culture and ethos in the home and responding effectively when things don’t go to plan. Somebody who can create a comfortable, welcoming, and child-friendly home environment that you would feel proud to live in and help our children smile

Somebody who believes in equality and that no one is better than anyone else - children have the right to be treated respectfully as equals by the adults around them. Somebody who truly understand that care is a ‘doing word’ and that the change we want to make in our home relies on working with, not doing to, people.

Have you got the attributes we are looking for? Does this resonate? Are you a people person and want to work with others, build strong relationships with them and help children to thrive? Are you reflective and restorative in your approach and always willing to learn?

**The Role**:
