**Salary**: £25,000 per annum

Company Overview: Buddha Group is a leading rental company specialising in providing a wide range of equipment and machinery for TV, film and events. With a commitment to delivering exceptional service and high-quality equipment, we are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative to join our team.

Position Overview: As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our company. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the yard, preparing equipment for rental, and assisting customers with their equipment needs as well as cleaning equipment after rental. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Patterns We operate on an alternating shift pattern, a week of 5am-2pm followed by a week of 2pm-11pm. You will also have to work 1 weekend a month. These are our winter hours, for the rest of the year these hours change slightly to 5am-2pm and 3pm-12am and 2 weekends a month.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organise and maintain the rental yard to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Inspect, clean, and prepare equipment for rental, following established procedures.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the shift senior.
- Help to keep accurate records of equipment movements, inventory levels, and maintenance activities using computer systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfil customer orders and meet daily operational goals. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role or familiarity with equipment and machinery is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards work.
- You will be attached specifically to the yard, however you may be required to work in the warehouse if business needs arise.
